Decorativa has become reality and I couldn’t be happier to share it with you.
It took us a while to get the wheel rolling because starting a new project is no easy thing. First, I had to be sure that I can share with my collaborators and clients the best skills and focus.
So I took my time, built my portfolio of both creative and commercial work and now I’m ready to get behind that wheel.
I’ve always been the type of person that enjoys travelling and a sort of nomadic lifestyle. Since childhood, I had been forced by various circumstances to move around – from the seaside to the mountains, and from a crowded capital city in Europe to the sunny Melbourne, Florida. The constant change made me develop an eye for adapting my environment.
Every object I’d encounter – be it clothes, accessories or furniture – would sooner or later be turned into something I could call my own. Some people might call this coping mechanism, I call it creative adaptation.
In time, this need turned into a passion for details that was later shaped into a skill – decorating. Everything that followed – college studies in art history, patterns and textiles, plus various projects – layered my knack for design with knowledge and experience. After graduation, I focused my attention on interior design, and after a few years of experimenting as a window dresser, mural artist and interior designer, I decided to gather everything under one roof.
